Mountain biking in Tyrol

Mountain biking is not covered by the right of access to forests (§ 33 Austrian Forestry Act). Therefore, both on forest roads and on hiking and mountain trails, a corresponding permit from the trail owners and/or landowners is required. With the Tyrolean Mountain Bike Model, the framework has been created to provide unique opportunities for this sport in Tyrol:

With approximately 6,600 km of MTB routes and 350 km of singletrails, the magnificent mountain landscape and nature of Tyrol can be explored by mountain bike. Leisurely bike rides on the valley floor, MTB tours of all difficulty levels to rustic alpine huts, and descents on challenging trails: Between the Arlberg and Kitzbühel Alps, between the Lienz Dolomites and the Karwendel, mountain bikers of all fitness levels find ideal conditions to pedal. Thanks to radrouting.tirol, the Radapp Tyrol, and the uniform signage in the terrain, it can be trusted to be on officially designated mountain biking routes.

Radrouter Tyrol

The Radrouter combines the leisure offer for mountain bikers of 6000 km MTB routes and 300 km single trail and the bike offer for everyday life. Find the best route for your type of bike from A to B and let yourself be navigated. From spring 2021 the Radrouter will also be available as an app.
